The Story of Dadari
Social Enterprise Dadari was founded in 2018 with a mission to create eco-friendly, high-quality, handmade wooden toys in Georgia for children around the world.
However, their vision extended beyond craftsmanship – they wanted their work to serve a greater purpose and make a meaningful social impact.

At that time, the toy market in Georgia faced significant challenges. The media outlets were systematically reporting that studies showed that 8 out of 10 available toys were harmful or potentially dangerous for children. Additionally, the country was struggling with serious social issues, including high unemployment rates, particularly among people with disabilities and displaced families.


Determined to create change, the artisans set out to build a socially responsible enterprise. It all began in a humble 20-square-meter workshop on the grounds of St. George’s Church in Ilori—a space generously provided by the church’s priest to support three talented yet financially struggling woodworkers.

Through the founders' tireless and determined efforts, Dadari gradually grew using its own resources and strength. The workshop trained people with disabilities in new professional skills, created eco-friendly toys, and worked diligently to introduce these products to customers. The company's only revenue came from sales of the toys they produced.
As a result of our outcome-oriented, active, and effective work, within just 5 months, our team doubled in size, creating the need for expanded production space and increased manufacturing capacity.

Dadari established itself as a brand that customers consistently associated with high-quality handmade toys, while making significant positive contributions toward addressing specific social challenges in our community.

Dadari’s recognition grew daily, leading to an increasing demand for its products. The company’s success and its strong social impact continuously captured the attention of the press and television.
